Happy birthday to my Bible!

if you know me (and you MIGHT know me) then you know how much i love to read. My top 3 is a cinch i guess. In no particular order they’re

Ishmael – daniel quinn

Lord of the Rings – Tolkein

and, obviously, The Hitchiker’s guide to the galaxy. – douglas adams.

The first avataar of The Hitchiker’s guide to the Galaxy was a radio show which launched on October 15th 2009 1979. That makes it 30 today! So, yknow… happy hapy and all that.

The Guide has  come a long way from the drunken musings of Adams, who claimed he was lying in a field in Austria in the early 1970s gazing up at the stars when he thought it would be a good idea for someone to write a hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy. The original radio series developed into a multi media phenomenon, which spawned books, records, a TV series, comic books, computer games, a stage show and in 2005 a Hollywood movie.
